One of the reasons why we like what we do here at KindNotes is knowing that each day, people out there are smiling as they open an envelope with a kind note inside. Sometimes the hustle and bustle of our daily lives make us forget to do the most simple thing for ourselves and for others - SMILE. “Today, give a stranger one of your smiles. We’d like to recognize those who take the time to promote and spread kindness. This month, we’ll introduce to you a couple who has dedicated a part of their lives to encourage random acts of kindness. In the meantime, here are a few ways to be kind:
- Lend a helping hand!
- Let someone go in front of you in line
- Volunteer at a shelter
- Collect food for donations
- Compliment someone
- Smile! and say Hello
- Leave a random note on a table at a restaurant or on a car window ”Hope you’re having a great day – I’m sending a smile your way!” (This is what our Founder is doing, leaving behind her notes in mini envelopes)
- Write a simple Thank You note on receipts for the waiter/waitress
