One of the reasons why we like what we do here at KindNotes is knowing that each day, people out there are smiling as they open an envelope with a kind note inside. Sometimes the hustle and bustle of our daily lives make us forget to do the most simple thing for ourselves and for others - SMILE. “Today, give a stranger one of your smiles.  It might be the only sunshine he sees all day.”  ~Quoted in P.S. I Love You, compiled by H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

We’d like to recognize those who take the time to promote and spread kindness. This month, we’ll introduce to you a couple who has dedicated a part of their lives to encourage random acts of kindness. In the meantime, here are a few ways to be kind:

  • Lend a helping hand!
  • Let someone go in front of you in line
  • Volunteer at a shelter
  • Collect food for donations
  • Compliment someone
  • Smile! and say Hello
  • Leave a random note on a table at a restaurant or on a car window ”Hope you’re having a great day – I’m sending a smile your way!” (This is what our Founder is doing, leaving behind her notes in mini envelopes)
  • Write a simple Thank You note on receipts for the waiter/waitress

We have plenty more ideas to share so join us here when you’re in need of encouragement and inspiration. Go out there and do something kind for someone today and tell us what you did.
